Idris Olugbesan

Dr. Idris Olugbesan brings several years of experience in the financial services industry to the executive management team of Regent Microfinance Bank Ltd. His expertise spans financial control, strategic planning, retail banking, and risk management. Prior to his appointment at Regent Microfinance Bank, he served as the Acting Managing Director of Hedgeworth Microfinance Bank. In his previous role, he was the Group Head of Business Development, overseeing SME business operations in Abuja.

Before joining Hedgeworth Microfinance Bank, Dr. Olugbesan held various positions at Fortis Microfinance Bank and Fidelity Bank.

Idris holds a B.Sc. in Political Science, an M.Sc., and a Ph.D. in Political Economy and Development Studies. He is MCIB/CIBN certified. Dr. Olugbesan has participated in numerous management and leadership training programs
